REF601
REF601 Feeder protection and measurement and control devices are designed to protect and control utility and industrial power systems in primary and secondary distribution networks as specialized feeder protection and measurement and control devices. The REF601 is a member of the 605 family of ABB Relion® products as a protective measurement and control device.
The device offers superior performance and usability compared to its peers, providing superior configuration for protection, monitoring and control functionality.
REF601 Feeder protection and measurement and control devices provide primary protection for overhead and cable feeders in distribution and secondary distribution networks. In addition, the inrush current stabilization function allows the device to be used as the main protection of distribution transformers.
As an alternative to conventional current transformers, this type of device has a Rogowski current sensor version that helps reduce medium voltage switchgear size, improve performance, and standardize it more.
The REF601 supports communication between MODBUS Rtus and IEC 60870-5-103 over a two-wire RS485.
