All cards can be configured in redundant or non-redundant configurations.
These cards can be installed in any I/O slot on the FCU unit or NIU, but the redundant cards must be installed in adjacent I/O slots on the same NIU or FCU unit (the former card is installed in an odd-numbered slot, and the latter card is installed in an even-numbered slot).
Except for serial communication cards, all I/O cards are connected to their corresponding terminal boards through Yokogawa dedicated system cables, and field instrument and device signals are also connected to the corresponding terminal boards.
