•RS485/RS422 connection

The coated module is an X20 module with a protective coating for electronic components. This coating protects the X20c module from condensation and corrosive gases.
The electronics of these modules are fully compatible with the corresponding X20 modules. For simplicity, only images of uncoated modules and module id sheets are used in this data.
The coating has been certified to the following standards:
• Condensation :BMW GS 95011-4, 2x 1 cycle
Corrosive gases :EN 60068-2-60, Method 4, exposure for 21 days

The module comes with pre-installed firmware. Firmware is part of Automation Studio. Modules are automatically promoted to this level. To update the firmware included in Automation Studio, you must perform a hardware upgrade (see “Project” Management/Workspace/Upgrade).
